Vice President and HUDDC Chairman Jejomar C. Binay and HGC President Atty. Manuel R. Sanchez
award the CoLAs and CELAs to members of the Sambayanihan People’s Village, Inc. in Las Piñas City.
Giving meaning to the “land for the landless” program of the government, the Home Guaranty Corporation (HGC) undertook the awarding of Certificates of Lot Award (CoLA) and Certificates of Lot Allocation (CeLA) to qualified beneficiaries of HGC-managed housing projects.

HGC examined the status of accounts in various HGC housing projects, made a list of all occupants and identified their corresponding status of occupancy: 1) whether fully-paid, 2) in arrears, or 3) still undocumented.

Fully-paid occupants were given Certificates of Lot Award; those under Contracts-To-Sell (CTS), but in arrears, were given Certificates of Lot Allocation with re-structured payment plans; and the undocumented ones were obliged to enter into CTS agreement.

On February 16, 2013, HGC awarded 136 Certificates of Lot Allocation and 51 Certificates of Lot Award to residents of Pinesville Subdivision Phases II and III in Baguio City. 140 Certificates of Lot Allocation and 93 Certificates of Lot Award were given to members of the Sambayanihan People’s Village, Inc. in Las Pinas City on February 25, 2013.

Residents of Pinesville Subdivision Phases II and III took part in the on-site consultation organized by the HGC Asset Management Department in preparation for the awarding ceremonies.

In addition, 147 families in Pinesville and 90 families in Sambayanihan People’s Village were set for documentation and will sign the CTS agreement. They, too, will be given Certificates of Lot Allocation after complete documentations have been made.

HGC also intends to award CoLAs and CeLAs to two more housing projects, namely: BF Bernabe in Las Piñas and FM Pasig Bliss in Rosario, Pasig. Initial preparations have already been made and the awardees have already been properly identified. BF Bernabe has 81 CoLA awardees, 88 prospective CeLA recipients and 139 undocumented families who will be made to enter into CTS agreement with HGC. In FM Pasig Bliss, there are 56 families qualified for CoLA and 44 families qualified for CeLA. Around 200 families are for documentation and will also sign CTS agreement with HGC.
