Backup  
Image backup Supports, disk-level snapshot that saves an image of either the disk or volume as a whole, along with the operating systems, applications and data. Should be available for both physical and virtual machines, including agentless backup.
File backup Allows file-level backup of selected files and folders.
Microsoft Exchange Information Store backup Capability to backup entire Microsoft Exchange Information Store or individual mailboxes.
Full or fast incremental or differential backups Allows differential and incremental backups that store only the data that has changed in order to reduce storage requirements, backup time and traffic.
Store backups in up to multiple destinations Can Store backups to multiple locations - back up to a local disk and store a copy on a network share or in the cloud.
Scheduled and event-based backup with conditions Can run automatic backups based on the time of day, day of the week, or month of the year. And create backups triggered by various conditions, such as a user logging on or a computer shutting down.
Excluding files during backup Can exclude non-essential files and folders from your backups.
Compression and encryption The solution should be capable of compressing backups to optimize storage space or encrypt them for additional level of security.
Automatic or manual splitting of backups Can Split backups into multiple files to fit media.
Disaster Recovery  
Bare-metal restore Restore server from scratch in the event of a hard-disk failure – restore an exact copy of computer on a new hard drive.
Restore Windows or Linux to dissimilar hardware Can migrate or restore entire system, Windows or Linux machines, to dissimilar hardware or to a virtual machine.
Bootable Media based on Linux Kernel or WinPE Can use Bootable Media Builder to build media to start machine from in a case of disaster using CD, DVD or USB flash drive. The media can be based on Linux Kernel on WinPE.
Custom drivers Drivers for new hardware can be added to WinPE media at the time of creation or later.
Remote restore Allows remote access to restore network-based machines.
